What a beautiful day it is today! I'll have to get out and get a bit of yard work done.
 I've already raked and tidied in the backyard, now to tackle the front. That is a lot bigger and definitely will take a while to finish. Not that it's a horrible mess or anything, mainly pine cones and branches to be picked up, no garbage. And a bizillion ends of the pine boughs. Seems it's a favorite food of squirrels. They eat what they want and throw the rest of the branch on the ground for me to pick up. And I haven't picked them up all winter!
I also want to rake the leaves around my neighbors lilac bushes. I put them on top of the soil in my planters. It is an excellent mulch! It keeps the moisture in the planter and when I water them, the soil does not splash up and wash away.
My composter needs attention too, haven't been able to turn it 'cause it was frozen solid all winter. We didn't 'harvest' anything from it last year, it's pretty full! We get the best dirt from that, the plants absolutely LOVE it! 
 I'm planting a lot of flowers this year. Last year, I was still mad about them ripping up our flowers, shrubs,  rock garden and pond, so I didn't do a damn thing in our yard last summer. I am getting tired of  it looking like that though, gotta do something about it. But it will be a lot of hard work involved. I have 3 huge piles of  BIG rocks in the yard that were once part of our rock garden. Now I have to move them back. I'm not making the same garden again, I will make something different. And we're not sure about the pond going back in or not.... I'm getting tired just thinking about it!
